Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to Bitfield software, subscriptions, trials, account services, activation keys, and related websites.
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By accessing Bitfield, creating an account, starting a trial, buying a subscription, activating a device, or using any Bitfield software or service, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Product and services
Bitfield provides a plug-in runtime, database, activation system, account portal, and related software services for building and running Bitfield-powered products.
Features, limits, prices, and availability may change as the product changes. Any paid change that affects your current subscription will be shown before it applies to you.
Active devices
An active device is a device, environment, or runtime identity that has used a Bitfield activation key and has not been revoked or replaced in the account portal.
Your selected plan controls how many active devices are included. Extra active devices may use the published pricing curve shown at checkout.
Free trials and recurring billing
If you choose a free trial, $0 is due today. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected payment method will be charged automatically when the trial converts to the selected paid plan.
By checking the billing authorization box at checkout, you authorize Bitfield or its payment processor to charge your payment method for the selected plan, cadence, taxes, and any active-device usage shown at checkout.
Payments and cancellation
Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current.
You may cancel future renewal through the account portal when cancellation is available there, or by contacting support. Cancellation does not retroactively refund charges already processed unless the Refund Policy says otherwise or the law requires it.
Account conduct
- Do not share account access or activation keys outside your authorized use.
- Do not abuse, attack, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass Bitfield systems except where applicable law clearly allows it.
- Do not use Bitfield to violate laws, infringe rights, or harm other systems.
- Violation of these terms may result in access suspension or account termination.
Intellectual property
Bitfield software, branding, copy, designs, benchmark presentation, and related materials are owned by Bitfield or its licensors. You do not receive ownership of Bitfield intellectual property by using the service.
Service availability
Bitfield is provided as software and infrastructure that may evolve quickly. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect compatibility, or specific business outcomes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bitfield will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Bitfield for the service that gave rise to the claim during the three months before the claim.
Dispute resolution
Before starting a formal dispute, contact support@bitfield.so and allow a 30-day informal resolution period. Any unresolved dispute will be handled under Delaware law unless another law must apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page or sent by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
