Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, and login state.
- Payment and subscription information processed by a payment provider. Bitfield does not store full card numbers.
- Activation information such as plan, active-device count, activation identifiers, timestamps, revocations, and replacement history.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser, device type, diagnostics, and security logs.
- Consent records such as checkbox state, timestamp, legal document version, and checkout context.
How we use information
- Create and manage accounts, subscriptions, activations, and license keys.
- Process payments, free trials, renewals, refunds, and receipts.
- Send account, security, product, and billing messages.
- Protect Bitfield against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Improve reliability, product quality, and checkout/account flows.
Third-party services
Bitfield may use payment processors, hosting providers, email providers, analytics, security tooling, and other infrastructure vendors to operate the service.
These providers only receive information needed to perform their role. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and local storage
Bitfield may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser storage for essential site behavior, theme preference, authentication state, checkout continuity, fraud prevention, and analytics.
Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure.
- Payment, tax, and consent records may be retained as required for accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, and compliance needs.
- Activation records may be retained so accounts can audit, revoke, replace, and recover device access.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information by emailing privacy@bitfield.so. Some data may be retained where required by law, security, tax, dispute, or payment-processing obligations.
California privacy rights
California residents may request to know, access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information. Bitfield does not sell personal information.
Children
Bitfield is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page or sent by email.
